Jarle Haugestad - winner of the competition

Again, we have drawn a new winner for those who have submitted the registration card on their DALEN product. This time we meet the happy owner of a new VALLEY pallet fork, while he keeps on refueling the car.

Jarle from Vestfold

His name is Jarle Haugestad from Hof in Vestfold, and he does some grain, and has plans for sheep farming from next year. He has a full job outside the farm at The Energy Company Buskerud, so farming and wood production are an additional industry for him. He gets good help in the production of both his wife and senior. Even the 11-year-old girls have had to grab a roof by packing some bags!

Dalen 2054

The product purchased in March this year was a DALEN wood machine 2054 with electrical operation and hydraulic reshuffle. Nothing is random here on the use it seems. The wood machine is purchased with another farmer in the village, so there are two who take advantage of the equipment.

When we ask why Jarle bought a wood machine from THE VALLEY, he doesn't need that long to answer. "One reason is that it is great to be able to buy Norwegian quality products. Otherwise, it is the technical solutions on the machine that all functions of the machine were hydraulically driven, and thus no v-belts that could break. In addition, the processor saw chain was very powerful, and it could take large logs," says Haugestad.

He and his partner Ole Lindseth considered several different machines before choosing DALEN, and we were now a little excited about why DALEN 2054 was preferred.

"The whole technical solution we liked. The large diameter (44 cm) was an important factor, as I have some large birches. The machine also had to be supplied with electrical operation. The machine was supposed to be powerful and sturdy, and we also wanted to have a log stand that could be connected with the machine – full package," he says.

We also ask if they are happy with the product, and the response is immediate. "We are very pleased so far! We have not yet changed the chain – says Jarle with a reprint.

One extra pallet fork should be great to have both for the exit of firewood, as well as in connection with the production! The machine was purchased at Eik Senteret on Stokke, and has been diligently used.
